* IMPORTANT* INSET DAY 18/12/2020
9th December 2020.
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to advise you that Nick Gibb (Minister of State for Schools) has recommended that schools use Friday 18th December as an inset day to ensure,
‘there to be a clear six days so that by the time we reach Christmas Eve, staff can have a proper break without having to engage with the track and trace issues,” (Nick Gibb 8th December 2020).
I have confirmed with the Local Authority today that they will support this action and like us can only apologise for the short notice (due to the Government announcement made 8th December), but as I am sure you will understand staff also deserve to be able to celebrate Christmas.
The last day of term will therefore now be Thursday 17th December.
If your child, or any member of the family test positive, after we have broken up, please contact your class teacher via Seesaw in the first instance and then class teachers will contact Mrs K Jones and myself.
If family members or children are showing symptoms of Covid-19 when we are due to return on the 5th January please keep them at home and follow the government guidance.
Take care, stay safe and best wishes for a peaceful and happy Christmas.
Mrs B. Davies
Executive Head Teacher
