Important update for Parents & Carers
Dear parents and carers,
I am writing further to my email this morning.
I have taken advice from the Local authority and Public Health England. They have advised that we follow the government guidance that states that there has to be 5 cases before further action can be taken such as year group/bubble closure (a number of you have asked why we have not closed these year groups).
As you are aware we currently have 4 positive cases across years 4 & 6 and are awaiting a number of PCR test results that hopefully will come in over the weekend.
In the event that your child receives a PCR result over the weekend please ensure that you email the result to the following email addresses:
We would ask therefore that parents make contingency plans in case we have to notify you (and it may be late notice if we get positive test results on Sunday evening) Just in case we have to close years 4 & 6 or more widely.
I am hoping that further test results will be negative but we have to err on the side of caution and as a working parent myself I know how difficult juggling arrangements can be, especially last minute!
Please be assured that if we do have to close a year group/s we will then switch to remote education for those children affected as we did in lockdown.
As requested this morning it is really important that we have your most up to date details in case we need to contact you re closure.
In the meantime I hope you have a lovely weekend. Please stay safe and if you think your child or family member has any symptoms then please get a PCR test booked.
