Letter to Key Worker Parents/Carers - 28 May 2020

28/05/2020

Dear Parents/ Carers of Keyworkers and Vulnerable children,

We would just like to send a reminder of procedures for you during the run up to opening the school to eligible children in the coming weeks.

Please can you continue to drop off your child/children at the top gate using the staff car park. Please be aware that as more staff are returning to school this may become problematic in the future and we may have to reconsider drop off and collect points.

Upon arrival and collection please wait at the office entrance and follow signage to stay at a 2m distance. A member of staff will collect your child and bring them to you.

The time you drop off your child is dependent on you and your need to get to work.

Breakfast club will remain available to you and procedures will remain the same. At the moment there will be no Active 8 club.

We have had guidance from our Health and safety consultant that children from the Keyworker groups will be allowed to join their peer group for the days they are in school. To minimise risks we are putting as many keyworker children together as possible in these groups.

All children will need to continue to bring a packed lunch. For those children who are eligible or in reception and Key Stage 1, Universal free school meals will be available when school is open to Years R, 1 and 6. We will update you when these become available.

Policies have been updated to ensure the safety of your children and the staff in school. These are available to read in the school website. Please take the time to read through them and familiarize yourselves with the procedures we have put into place, especially expectations on behaviour in behaviour policy.

If your child is unwell please do not send them into school.

Please ensure children are wearing clean freshly laundered clothes and as the weather is getting warmer they will needed 2 water bottles (not squash if possible), a hat and named sun-cream.

Please feel free to message any questions or concerns to admin and we will be more than happy to discuss these with you.

Many thanks for your continued patience and cooperation.

Kind regards,

Mrs B Davies & Mrs K Jones
