Letter to parents re: Years 1 - 6
Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: Years 1-6
Firstly I am delighted to advise you that the children have settled back in beautifully and have understood the need to follow the procedures we have put in place. I am also pleased to advise you that the Local Authority have said that our risk assessments and manuals are some of the best they have seen and approved in the county.
I would like to share our plans with you to ensure the children catch up on what they have missed in the summer term if necessary.
At the moment, we will be providing lots of opportunities for the children to share their experiences of lockdown and re connect with their classmates after the summer break.
Over the next two to three weeks we will be baselining and assessing where the children are in respect of Reading, Writing and Maths. We will then be looking at the best possible personal learning goals for them and the support required to help them catch up quickly. We will be holding parent consultations to share these with you by telephone (as we cannot yet hold face to face meetings with you) week commencing 28th September 2020 and the following week. The timing of these appointments will be shared with you shortly.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs B Davies
