Transition Letter for Parents/Carers - 30 June 2020
As you know we are planning to offer all children in Year 2, 3, 4 and 5 the opportunity to come into school on the last week of term. This visit will last for 2 hours and your child will get a chance to meet and spend some time with their class teacher for the next academic year. For this visit children will not need to wear their school uniform and will only need to bring a water bottle into school with them.
The dates of the visits are:
- Monday 13th July
- Tuesday 14th July
- Wednesday 15th July
Please can you pick up and drop off your child at their given time at the bottom gates by the parents’ carpark where a member of staff will be there to welcome them. Unfortunately, parents will not be allowed onto the playground.
There will be no school for Reception and Year 1 during the last week of term unless your child is in the keyworker group and has a place pre-booked. However, there will be school for Year 6 on the Thursday and the Friday morning of the last week of term.
Provision for keyworkers will remain for those parents who have already booked a place. However, for health and safety reasons parents will need to decide as to whether their child will attend as a key worker child (for the whole day) or as part of their cohort transition group. Government advice is that children will not be able to transfer from one group to another so they will need to go home after their transition session.
You will shortly receive a text message that will contain a date and time for your child’s visit. You do not need to book your child in and we are all really looking forward to seeing them before the end of term.
If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to ring the office and they will happily help you.
Stay safe and well.
Mrs B Davies & Mrs K Jones
