MATHS
Let's continue with your fractions work today - we are almost at the end of these sessions. If you are following these, we are due to finish next Monday.
HISTORY - Crime and Punishment through the ages
Follow up task from yesterday
Today I would like you to create your own presentation about Anglo Saxon and Viking punishment.
This could be...
A slideshow - this needs to be a 'wordy' slide show as well as a pictoral one - avoid spending all your time creating wizzy effects and concentrate on the information being detailed and thorough.
A Factfile - ensure there is a good mix of detailed report style paragraphs and picture, as well as fact boxes / labels / captions - information in different sections of the page which could be read in any order.
A written report in your book - aim for a full page of your book. You can include a few small pictures (about 6cm wide) to support a paragraph
All of these options are non-fiction factual pieces of work; you need to include the features of this kind of writing. No matter what form you choose for your work, they all need to be...
- Written in the past tense (stole / punished / gave / were / was) etc.
- 3rd person (They /he / she)
- organisational devices such as Main titles / sub-headings / bullet points / captions
- introduction and conclusion to 'top and tail' your work. Remember, don't use 'The End' as this is only for stories.
There will be some tricky spellings to write so do look at the fact sheets to check them.
I think you will all do the most amazing job of this gruesome topic and I cannot wait to see the results!
